Bipap : Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure
BiPAP is a small device that attaches to a mask that is placed on your nose or nose and your patient during sleep. The device gently pushes air through the mask into your patient's airway and lungs. It produces higher BiPAP pressure when pressed and less pressure when exhaling. This keeps the patient's airways and lungs open and gives them bigger breaths.
